A tragic accident on the North-South Expressway claimed the life of a three-year-old boy and injured seven others after a lorry driver fell into micro-sleep while driving. The 26-year-old driver lost control, causing the lorry to collide with a metal barrier. A car carrying a family of eight then crashed into the lorry’s right side. Muar OCPD ACP Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz confirmed the incident occurred at 3.44pm. The toddler was pronounced dead at the scene, while the injured were rushed to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital. Authorities urge drivers to rest adequately to prevent such tragic incidents.
