Louis Vuitton, one of the largest luxury fashion houses out there has sprung into a slight controversy. The Middle Eastern conflict is sadly still ongoing now, and there seems to be little to no resolution between the both sides. However, the luxury brand was slammed for allegedly having a watermelon design on their shirts.
Louis Vuitton slammed by anti-Semitic groups for watermelon shirt
X users state that the brand has always been neutral regarding the conflicts all over the world. It seems that brands are no longer allowed to place anything resembling a watermelon on their items. Others state that Gucci’s literal branding is the Palestinian flag colors.
Another user states that the disturbing thing here is that a simple branded t-shirt costs $820 (RM3,876 but LV Malaysia is selling it for RM4,000). Typically, designer shirts would cost around that price, as Gucci, Dior, Prada, YSL are all similarly priced to LV.
Here is the link to the t-shirt.
