The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) plans to convene with the Armed Forces Fund Board (LTAT) after Ramadan in April due to LTAT’s concerning financial status. PAC Chair Mas Ermieyati Samsudin voiced worry over LTAT’s negative reserves, raising doubts about its dividend payout capability.
PAC probe LTAT’s financial woes
All relevant parties, including three resigning top officials, will be summoned. These officials consist of the former director, CEO, and senior strategic director.
PAC also contemplates summoning the defense minister due to the gravity of the issue, involving 122,935 contributors, mostly ex-military personnel. Mas Ermieyati made the decision after a two-hour briefing on the Auditor General’s Report for 2022.
