The technical committee overseeing the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) implementation has rescheduled its session to discuss unresolved issues to March 2, after it was postponed from Feb 28, Malaysian officials said, amid ongoing federal-state negotiations.

MA63 ongoing technical talks postponed, set for March 2

Key discussion points will include special grants and outstanding matters involving Sabah and Sarawak’s roles and entitlements under the agreement, which has been a long-term topic of federal-state dialogue.

The committee’s outcomes will later be brought forward to the main council for broader policy direction and potential implementation decisions, officials added.
