Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is known for his vast intellectual reach and yesterday he shows he is also a bit of a global warming expert.
The old fox explained why the incident in Gunung Jerai in Kedah may repeat itself saying it is a direct consequence of climate change.
“When there is a lot of steam & the temperature goes down due to the height of the clouds, the steam becomes water & goes down to the earth as rain.
“The higher the temperature, the more clouds & the heavier the rain. That’s why the rain on Gunung Jerai became so heavy, melted the mud and came down as fast as a waterfall,” wrote Mahathir.
