Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has denied Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s claims that his sons should return wealth allegedly gained illegally, calling the premier an “amazing liar.”
Mahathir Slams Anwar Over Allegations of Billion-Ringgit Wealth
In a post on X, Mahathir said neither he nor his sons had ever admitted to owning RM1.2 or RM4 billion, and the MACC had already verified their asset declarations.
He clarified that Tan Sri Mokhzani declared RM1 billion, while Mirzan declared RM246.2 million in total assets, which included property and shares built over 20 years. Mahathir questioned the basis of Anwar’s accusations and refused to accept responsibility for unproven claims.
