PETALING JAYA: A Malaysia Airlines cabin crew member tragically passed away during a layover in Tokyo, Japan on Monday morning. According to the New Straits Times, Norzana Hanim Hamzah was found dead in her hotel room prior to her scheduled pick-up for the return flight to Kuala Lumpur. She had completed a flight to Narita International Airport and was on layover in Tokyo. The cause of Norzana’s death has not been officially confirmed by the airline.

Malbatt officer dead in Lebanon
Sergeant Faridah Abd Rahman, a non-commissioned officer with the Malaysian Battalion (Malbatt) for the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (Unifil), was shocked to learn of his wife’s sudden death in Lebanon. Noor Azmi Ariffin, 39, stated that Faridah, 38, had no history of illness and appeared healthy during her recent holiday. Faridah, who was serving as the senior supervisor for Islamic affairs at Malbatt 850-11 in Marakah Camp, Lebanon, was confirmed dead by medical officers after collapsing upon disembarking from a bus at the camp.
