Malaysia and India have officially signed 11 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Kuala Lumpur, cementing a broad set of agreements on strategic investment, trade, vocational training, semiconductors, health and security cooperation.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the agreements cover key areas including labour cooperation, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), disaster management and digital economy frameworks aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and economic linkages.
Officials noted that the expanded partnership reflects growing confidence in Malaysia’s role in regional supply chains and technology sectors, and expected these deals to boost investment flows and provide high-quality jobs for both countries.
