Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim told Parliament that Malaysia supports the European Union and Denmark against US claims over Greenland, stressing that Malaysia will never agree to any country conquering another.

He confirmed Malaysia maintains ties with Iran despite Washington’s threat of 25% tariffs on nations trading with Tehran, saying diplomacy must balance firmness with national interest. On the Malaysia‑US reciprocal trade agreement (ART), Anwar assured it is not finalized and Malaysia’s sovereignty remains intact.
Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan added ASEAN is not failing, citing Malaysia’s role in mediating Cambodia‑Thailand disputes, with both nations still requesting Malaysia’s facilitation.
