Malaysia has indicated it is prepared to carry out further evacuation operations for its citizens in West Asia if the security situation in the region worsens. Authorities said the first evacuation mission had already brought back Malaysians affected by travel disruptions.

Officials noted that most Malaysians in the region are currently able to return through commercial flights, but emergency operations remain on standby if conditions deteriorate.
