KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 — Eight crew members from the Malaysia-registered tanker Silver Sincere were rescued by the Indonesian freighter Intan Daya 368 near Pedra Branca. The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) coordinated the rescue after a distress call reported the vessel was taking in water. All crew members were safely evacuated and are in good health. Salvage operations are underway, and precautionary oil spill measures have been deployed. Singapore Strait navigation remains unaffected.
