Malaysia’s Home Ministry announced a new immigration clearance system using MyNIISe QR codes, set to be introduced from March 1 at major international airports including KLIA Terminals 1 and 2. The system will integrate with existing e-gates to streamline entry and exit checks for travellers.

Authorities said the phased rollout is aimed at improving efficiency and reducing queue times for passengers, while maintaining national security measures at key air entry points.
The QR code system will initially be available at Malaysia’s busiest airports, with plans for future expansion to other international gateways based on passenger demand and system performance.
