Najib’s daughter, Yana, added to the rumors on Instagram, sharing a photo of her father with a caption expressing hope for his return.
Despite public anticipation, there’s no official word from the Pardon Board. Channel News Asia suggests that while Najib may not be released, his jail term could be halved to 6 years from the original 12 years. The former Prime Minister was convicted in 2022 in the SRC International case, facing imprisonment and a hefty fine.
