Finding small pleasures in daily life, like enjoying a meal or sipping coffee, brings joy. However, with inflation and rising living costs, it’s worth questioning our spending habits. Malaysians, especially millennials, spend RM70 to RM100 weekly on these drinks.

This trend has boosted local brand Zus Coffee’s revenue to RM204.12 million in FY2023. A Malaysia Coffee Association report found 85% of millennials drink them daily. Alvin Vong of EquitiesTracker suggests investing coffee money could yield significant returns. 

Tea lovers face similar costs, with premium brands like CHAGEE charging RM14.90 per cup. Despite rising costs, coffee consumption remains strong.
