Recently, a netizen shared some information from someone who allegedly works in the transit system of Malaysia (Rapid KL). The knowledge of what’s going on is shocking as it is said that 6 out of 58 MRTs are inoperable.
It was further said that some trains are used to cannibalise each other, as there aren’t enough spare parts. However, this could be due to the manufacturer possibly no longer producing the train models, and thus it’s harder to find them. These are just rumours, and are not confirmed by RapidKL.
The netizen has stated more information which is available on their Twitter page. Others agree with the statement and mentioned that the government has to do something to fix the underlying issues. Another mentioned that even RapidKL buses are used for cannibalisation for other buses.
