JAKARTA, Feb 10 — A man in Ngawen, Central Java, lodged a police report after being assaulted and humiliated by villagers who caught him with a married woman. The 23‑year‑old, known as Cimut, claimed about 30 residents attacked him, stripped him, and paraded him for one kilometre before handing him to authorities.

His lawyer, Yusuf Nurbaidi, condemned the vigilante action as inhumane and unlawful, stressing that punishment must follow legal process.
