Man City back to winning ways in 3-0 win that ends losing streak

Manchester City ended a seven-game winless streak with a dominant 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Kevin De Bruyne, starting for the first time in nearly three months, starred by assisting Bernardo Silva’s opener and scoring the second goal. Jeremy Doku added a third to secure the much-needed win.

Winning ways

City’s poor run, which included six defeats, had left them 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool. This victory moved them back into the top four, narrowing the gap to Liverpool to nine points after Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Newcastle. Pep Guardiola dismissed rumors of a rift with De Bruyne before the match, and the Belgian proved instrumental in rejuvenating City’s form.
