A married couple was killed when their Ford Mustang crashed at KM13 of the Segamat-Kuantan Road on Monday afternoon. The victims, identified as Mohd Izuddin Harmaini, 51, and Nur Syamimi Rosli, 36, died at the scene from severe injuries. Segamat District Police Chief Supt Ahmad Zamry Marinsah said the car was believed to be heading from Kuantan to Segamat when the driver lost control and veered off the road. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Firefighters from the Segamat Fire and Rescue Station used special equipment to extract the victims.
