The Malaysian Ministry of Education (KPM) has expressed regret over a political influencer’s misleading video claiming that the national anthem “Negaraku” was sung in a language other than the national language at a school in Perak. The ministry clarified that the song in question was not the national antheme but “ALLAH Lanjutkan Usia Sultan,” the state anthem of Perak, symbolizing loyalty and respect to the Sultan of Perak. The KPM emphasized that the song was sung in Malay with correct lyrics, as evident in the video. Earlier, Perak exco Woo Kah Leong denied claims that a school in Teluk Intan sang the national anthem in Chinese, clarifying it was the Perak state anthem, which shares a similar melody with Negaraku.
