The Ministry of Education (MOE) will not reinstate the Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR) and Form Three Assessment (PT3), which were abolished in 2022. Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek emphasised that any proposal to reintroduce these exams requires a thorough review.

She stressed that children should not be treated as experimental subjects. Despite calls from various parties, including former Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, the MOE is focusing on strengthening classroom-based assessments (PBD) and broader educational reforms, such as the 2027 School Curriculum and the new Education Development Plan.
