SHAH ALAM – Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu has warned that excessive street protests could become a serious threat to the country if left unchecked. He stressed that demonstrations must not turn into riots that harm civilians or security forces.

“If rallies turn into riots, if blood is spilled between the people and security forces, what is the benefit? No one gains, and the nation loses,” he said in a Facebook post. Mohamad urged demonstrators to voice dissent peacefully, adding that disputes should ultimately be resolved in the courts.
