A Turkish Airlines flight made an emergency landing at JFK Airport after pilot İlçehin Pehlivan collapsed and tragically died mid-flight. The plane, en route from Seattle to Istanbul, diverted to New York after Pehlivan’s medical emergency. Despite attempts to provide first aid, he passed away before the Airbus A350 could land. Pehlivan, 59, had been with Turkish Airlines since 2007 and had undergone regular health checks, with no issues detected. The flight’s co-pilot and another member of the flying team took control to ensure the safe landing.
