More Flexible cross-state movement soon

1 min read

There will be an easing of cross-state travel soon to make it more flexible for people to travel outside their states with a relaxation of some of the SOPs in place under the MCO.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin says the easing will be based on scientific facts and current indicators.

But LM understands that it does not mean a blanket opening of state borders are being considered. Not at all. Most of the states are still ramping up their vaccination and it is not yet time to open the borders fully.

“This is because we all know that opening up state borders for movement will increase risks, so give us a little more time,” says Khairy.
