A 26-year-old man from Paya Terubong was killed in an accident along Jalan Ahmad Nor, George Town, on Saturday. The motorcyclist skidded and overturned in front of a car driven by a 25-year-old local woman, who was unable to avoid him. He sustained severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at 2.10pm at Penang Hospital.

George Town police chief ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad confirmed the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which carries penalties including imprisonment, fines, and mandatory licence disqualification for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
