Crude palm oil stocks increased 31.88% to 2.16 million tonnes, compared with 1.64 million tonnes in the previous month. Meanwhile, processed palm oil inventories climbed 14.33% to 1.34 million tonnes from 1.17 million tonnes.
Crude oil production also rose 16.48% to 2.11 million tonnes in September, while kernel output increased 18.16% to 508,392 tonnes.
Despite the stronger production figures, Malaysia’s exports of the product fell 12.13% month-on-month to 1.22 million tonnes. Exports of kernel oil dropped 34.09% to 74,364 tonnes, while palm kernel cake exports declined 3.99% to 204,687 tonnes.
