Malaysian Man Confirmed Dead in Bali Strait Ferry Tragedy

A Malaysian national, Fauzey Awang, 55, has been confirmed dead in the Bali Strait ferry disaster that occurred on July 2. His body was found off Perancak Beach in Bali and transported to Blambangan Hospital for identification.

Malaysian Man Confirmed Dead in Bali Strait Ferry Tragedy

Fauzey had been traveling in a tourist van aboard the KMP Tunu Pratama Jaya ferry, which was en route from Ketapang Port to Bali. Out of 65 people on board, 30 survived, while 15 have been confirmed dead.

Indonesia’s SAR agency is still searching for the missing. The Malaysian Embassy is assisting Fauzey’s family, who are scheduled to travel to Banyuwangi soon.
