MUAR: Two MPV patrolmen from Muar police headquarters were badly injured, and a suspect died in a car chase at Jalan Benteng Parit Kongsi 4, Parit Jawa at about 4 am today. Muar police chief ACP Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz stated the suspect in a Toyota Vios fled during an inspection, leading to a chase. Both vehicles skidded and crashed into a ditch, causing the suspect’s car to catch fire.

The injured patrolmen were taken to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital, while the suspect’s body was sent for an autopsy. An investigation under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and Section 186 of the Penal Code is ongoing.
