HANG TUAH JAYA — Perikatan Nasional and Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has joined calls for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to remove Barisan Nasional (BN) ministers from the Cabinet to maintain federal administrative stability.
Muhyiddin’s remarks follow earlier statements by Parti Bersama Malaysia leader Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, who urged the Prime Minister to end BN’s participation in the Unity Government. Rafizi cited mounting public friction during state elections in Johor, Negeri Sembilan, and Melaka, arguing that compromises with BN have diluted core reform principles and disrupted effective governance.

Echoing those sentiments, Muhyiddin asserted that ministers who openly criticize the Prime Minister or undermine government policies should not remain in power. He suggested that ongoing public disagreements create an impression of severe internal rift, which could ultimately cause the administration to fail.
“If I were the Prime Minister, I would have already sacked them. I would reshuffle the Cabinet to ensure those not aligned with me cannot stay,” Muhyiddin stated, warning that internal opposition threatens to sabotage government initiatives and collapse the current administration.
Both political leaders maintain that decisive executive action is necessary to restore cohesion and allow the government to focus on key policy reforms ahead of the 16th General Election.
