Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin met today with leaders from Gerakan, Pejuang, Urimai, Malaysian Indian People’s Party, PSM, and Muda to discuss forming a united opposition front. The meeting aimed to strengthen their role in providing checks and balances on issues of national and public interest. Notably, PAS leaders were absent despite being a key PN component. Muhyiddin said all parties responded positively, and he will table their views at the upcoming PN supreme council meeting. Earlier, Bersatu gave Muhyiddin the mandate to spearhead the alliance proposal, which is expected to be discussed at the PN presidential council this weekend.
