A 46-year-old local musician was detained in Pandan Indah, Ampang, for allegedly assaulting his housemate with a metal rod following a dispute over noise. The incident occurred on June 30 when the 52-year-old victim, a cook, was awakened by the loud slamming of a bathroom door. He responded by slamming the door back, prompting the suspect to attack him. The altercation stemmed from ongoing noise complaints, particularly over loud music. The suspect, who tested negative for drugs and had no prior record, was arrested on July 2 and later released on police bail after his statement was recorded.
