Responding to MP questions, Saifuddin cited a Kuala Lumpur High Court decision from July, which dismissed Najib’s legal bid to validate the addendum’s existence. The court found the claim based on hearsay, stating it was information passed secondhand with no concrete evidence. Saifuddin emphasized that the Home Ministry is not involved with the Pardons Board, confirming that Najib, as a convicted individual, would not be eligible for house arrest.
