Netizens Agree on Raising Retirement Age to 65 Years Old

A recent suggestion by a parliamentary member, Azalina Othman has gotten social media users debating with each other. She suggested the retirement age should increase to 65-years-old, while some disagree, others agreed citing the rise of unemployed youth is also another problem.

Netizens agree on raising retirement age to 65 years old 

Netizens state that the youth are able to get jobs, but some are unable to handle the stresses of day to day work. Quick resignations are one of the reasons possibly behind this suggestion of an extension of the retirement age stated by the user. 

Others state that even at 60 years old, some may still have debts to pay, and their savings aren’t enough for retirement. This could be true for many Malaysians as the cost of living is rising, however, this is reflective to the whole world.
