On Twitter, a netizen was ranting about the RM1 pasar malam sushis and claims the quality is awful and that the sellers are trying to sell them as low priced as possible. Others replied saying that for RM1 you can’t expect much especially with the rising inflation these days.
‘Don’t judge others who are buying it, not everyone can afford proper sushi’ these are what most netizens are saying regarding this situation. Another mentioned that pasar malam sushi uses normal rice and would taste like ‘Nasi impit’.
One netizen mentioned that sushi was made long ago to reduce food wastage in Japan, and that kids in Malaysia today think it was made for kings. Many gave recommendations for fresher sushi as they claim Sushi King is not as fresh as Empire Sushi and Sushi Ryu.
