Netizens Debating if T20 Individuals Should Accept the RM100 Aid

Just yesterday, the government announced that it will be giving the citizens of Malaysia a RM100 aid for essentials. However, it seems that some are discussing if the wealthy individuals (known as the T20s) of this country should accept it or not as RM100 may not seem like a significant amount for them. 

Netizens debating if T20 individuals should accept RM100 aid

An X user states that if the amount of money is small for you, it would be best not to claim it so it would be reclaimed for those who are in need. It is unclear how this would actually work. Others state that if that’s the case, the wealthy should also update their MyKad to show they won’t need petrol subsidies. 

Some users claim that no matter the wealth status of an individual, they may still claim it as it is something that is given to them.
