Netizens Defending E-Hailing Drivers for Late Pickup Times in Lieu of Horrid Traffic

A recent topic of discussion regarding e-hailing platforms is that passengers will receive a penalty if they’re late to the pick up point. However, an X user complained that if a driver were to be late, they’d be fine. But, it appears that netizens understand why drivers can come late.

After questioning why customers and drivers aren’t treated the same in the sense of timing, an X user responds by saying the traffic in Kuala Lumpur is horrible. Additionally, there are some who think it’d be the best idea to park literally in the middle of the road, hence why drivers may come to pick up their passengers at a later time. 

Others add that we’re using their services, hence we would have to wait. Driving to one’s destination by themselves would be a faster alternative, but with that comes other complications and costs as well.
