Typically, Malaysians are generally conservative, especially when it comes to clothes. However, it seems that our society is slowly changing as there are some netizens defending some youngsters who are wearing shorts while looking for jobs. They state that if it’s not an office job, they should not worry about wearing formal attire.
Youngsters looking for jobs while wearing shorts
Netizens state that the youngsters are at least making an effort to look for a job, despite wearing shorts. Furthermore, many state that this is not even a job interview, so it is alright for them to not be formally dressed for the occasion.
Others state that they too wore casual shorts before heading out to a local fast food chain restaurant for a job. Following that, the branch manager immediately interviewed them and they had a job the following day.
