Netizens: I Don’t Want Bantuan RM100 or RM200, I Want A Stronger Economy

1 min read

On Twitter, with the reaction of the government giving financial handouts to the population, they stated that they’d want a stronger economy instead. Rather than receiving RM200, or RM2,000 it’s better for them to have access to numerous things that can make life easier.

For example, good paying jobs, a more balanced cost of living and more affordable housing. This is due to the stagnant salaries across the board, other than the recent minimum wage increase, fresh grad salaries have relatively stayed the same.

Another netizen mentioned that we need better public transportation across the country. Others are saying that a temporary ‘bantuan’ will not fix the underlying issues that this country is facing. It is better to give the ‘rakyat’ a quality life than just temporary financial help.
