A netizen mentioned that in Malaysia, the best business one can involve themselves in is owning highways. This is due to the highways being able to charge their users for the next 30 – 40 years. After that’s done, the rights to collect toll fare will be extended for another few decades.
They further mentioned that rather than focusing on building new highways with more tolls, it would be significantly better to build a stronger public transportation network. The government recently announced their plans to build 3 more highways to overcome the current traffic issues.
Netizens mentioned that it would not help with any traffic problems as more cars will congest the road. It was further mentioned that with the amount of highways that were meant to overcome traffic jams did not help at all and the city is still congested as ever.
