JOHOR BAHRU – PKR deputy president candidate Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli urged the complete abolition of the PKR president’s power to allow new members to contest in elections, aiming to prevent the party from being flooded by opportunists. Speaking at his Jelajah Hiruk campaign in a Johor Bahru hotel on Tuesday, Rafizi criticized the fast-tracking of newcomers, citing an ex-MIC treasurer who, within six months of joining PKR, contested a safe parliamentary seat and later became deputy minister. Present were PKR leaders, including Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, and Rodziah Ismail.
