Perikatan Nasional (PN) deputy chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu who is also a Bersatu member, has denied claims that he had a meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday. Rumours circulated on social media that some Bersatu members were betraying the party and that Azumu had gone to meet Anwar. Rumours also are more Bersatu MPs are leaving the party.

Ahmad Faizal also the Bersatu deputy president, described such claims as slander and an attempt to create disunity in the party. “Wallahi (I swear to Allah), (the claims is) not true. I notice there is an effort to create disunity in Bersatu.. There are many slanders being spread to create misunderstanding (among leaders and members of the party).”
