Others state that the Proton car would definitely lose the new car smell and the car would obviously need to be overhauled. The same user suggested the owner to leave the car in the middle of the hot sun while rolling down the windows. But the best idea is to have the car cleaned.

Another user states that this is the precise reason why those living in flood prone areas may have to pay a higher insurance rate. Regardless, the car would still have the post flood complications with a possibility of ruined electronics.
