Nik Nazmi emphasized that protests should spark discussions on deeper issues such as cost of living and economic justice. He also thanked the police and government for allowing a peaceful assembly. However, he criticized Jasin MP Zulkifli Ismail for leading a qunut nazilah prayer, accusing the government of being anti-Islam, calling it divisive religious rhetoric.
