In an article in Malaysiakini yesterday, the writer says if there is no motion of confidence to prove that Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has the majority he claims in Parliament, the speaker must be removed.
The debate is unabated on the issue after the de-facto law minister who spoke of reforms of Parliament recently, Wan Junaidi Wan said the King has informed the government there is no need for a motion of confidence.
The speaker is also not agreeable, apparently, to such a motion. Thus, if the spirit of the constitution is not met, the speaker must be removed argues the writer.
