Nor Farah Makes History as Malaysia’s First Female World No. 1 in Lawn Bowls

Malaysian lawn bowler Nor Farah Ain Abdullah made history by becoming the world’s number one female player, according to the latest World Bowls Series rankings. The 24-year-old topped the chart with 723 points, surpassing Scotland’s Julie Forest and Australia’s Kelsey Cottrell. Nor Farah gained global recognition after winning gold in the women’s singles event at the 2024 World Indoor Bowls Championship. She also secured bronze in the mixed pairs event alongside Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple, who won silver in the men’s singles.
