The scandal involving our former Minister, Tun Daim is still at large on social media. X users state that they would not be sympathetic to people who are able to afford paying RM280,000 in bail charges. For most Malaysians, that amount of money is equivalent to the price of a house.
Netizens not “sympathetic” to Tun Daim
For the most part, netizens are claiming that he would be able to pay even RM28 million for bail if it came to it. However, this is a claim and not entirely rooted in facts. But Malaysians are making themselves known that they do not pity the ultra rich in the country.
Others suggest that the court system strip all his personal and family wealth down to zero, and serve only one year in prison. They state that money is not important in our afterlife.
