A 47-year-old man died while a 26-year-old man and a Swedish passenger of a e-hailing car were injured in an incident where a large tree fell on Jalan Sultan Ismail on Tuesday evening. JBPM Kuala Lumpur State Assistant Director of Operations M Fatta M Amin says the victims were trapped in their respective vehicles and were successfully pulled out by firefighters. The man who passed away was also the occupant of one of the vehicles among the 17 reported crushed by the tree in the incident.

“One of the victims was confirmed dead by the Ministry of Health (KKM) staff while the other injured continued to receive treatment at the scene of the incident,” a statement says. Two victims have been brought to HKL involving a local man and a Swedish woman who are most likely the e-hailing driver and passenger.
