Claims by a PAS opposition activist that people are dying of starvation due to a lack of rice are baseless, according to Johor Angkatan Muda KEADILAN (AMK) Chief, Mohamad Taufiq Ismail. He believes the opposition is trying to politicize the recent deaths of two disabled individuals in Johor, suspected to be due to hunger, which he calls an isolated incident. Taufiq criticized PN activists for politicizing rice shortages, noting that the government provides direct assistance to those in need. Economic Minister Rafizi Ramli also dismissed the claims as extreme and foolish, urging for more responsible discourse.
