Morning commuters in the Klang Valley faced significant delays after an overgrown tree obstructed tracks along the Kelana Jaya LRT line near Taman Paramount station. The disruption occurred during peak hours, affecting thousands of passengers travelling to work and school.
Services Restored After Emergency Response
Rapid KL activated an alternative service plan, splitting train operations into multiple segments while deploying shuttle services between affected stations. Clearing works were carried out promptly, with the obstruction removed within an hour.
Although normal operations resumed shortly after, commuters experienced residual delays as services were gradually stabilised. Authorities advised passengers to expect slightly longer waiting times during recovery.
The incident highlights the importance of infrastructure maintenance in ensuring smooth public transport operations, especially during high-demand periods.
