Two Pakistani nationals were brought before the Sessions Court on charges of smuggling nine fellow countrymen into Malaysia.

Sajjad Saeed Abdul, 27, was accused of transporting five undocumented migrants in a multi-purpose vehicle along Jalan Bypass Machang-Kuala Krai on August 13, while Hameed Gul Mehrab, 32, allegedly smuggled four others in a Perodua Myvi on Jalan Kampung Telaga Tujuh the same evening.

Both men face charges under the Smuggling of Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007, which carries up to five years in prison and a RM250,000 fine. Neither had legal representation. The case was set for mention on October 29.
