Blogger Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, known as Papagomo, was arrested by police at his home in Putrajaya early this morning. His lawyer, Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali, stated that Wan Azri was detained at 1:30 AM by eight officers despite having an appointment with the police at 11 AM.

The arrest warrant was issued by the same officer from the AMLA Unit who was supposed to meet him. The arrest is based on a police report filed by a minister in July. Wan Azri faces charges under Section 420 of the Penal Code for fraud and dishonest property transfer.
